The Uganda Cancer Institute has maintained strict adherence to the Ministry of Health guidance throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and will continue to do so. This includes mask requirements, enhanced cleaning, procedures, encouragement of frequent hand washing/sanitizing, and screening requirements where required. The Ministry continuously monitors the Covid situation.

Covid -19 preparedness at accommodation venue: The Congress organizing committee strongly advises all delegates to reserve accommodation either the Kampala Serena Hotel or the Speke Resort Munyonyo (see accommodation tab under congress information). Strict safety measures have been arranged at these establishments for all delegates to ensure safety during stay within the country and travel to and from the airport. In addition, Covid-testing arrangements have been made at these facilities for the convenience of delegates who will require repeat testing prior to returning to their countries.
Please note: All delegates will be required to undertake Covid testing at Entebbe International airport regardless of the Covid result they travel with from their home country. The congress organizing committee will put in place an arrangement to assist delegates with this process at the airport.
