All accepted abstracts are scheduled in the Scientific Programme either as Oral presentations or Posters. It is required that the presenting author of the abstract is registered for the congress. Only abstracts of registered participants will be scheduled in the Scientific Programme.
Only after all abstracts have been reviewed and allocated by the Scientific Committee will notifications be sent to the abstract submitters. Please refer to the Key Dates.
You may enter the Abstract Submission system with your username and password and make changes to your abstract until the submission deadline date. No abstract changes will be accepted after this date.
Copies of your accepted and registered abstracts will be published on the congress website. We are negotiating to have the best abstracts published in an accredited journal.

In case you are using “Internet Explorer”, please try other internet browser e.g. “Google Chrome” or “Mozilla”
When you copy and paste your user name and password please make sure there is no extra space at the beginning or the end of them
In case your password contains the letter "O" please make sure you do not type "0" (Zero) instead of the letter "O"
Water is safe to drink from the taps, and it is not a malaria area. The political situation is stable, and the police system is functional. Petty crime is however not uncommon, and we recommend that you do not carry any visible valuables (expensive watch, jewellery, camera, phone) in public places and do not walk alone after dark.

When your registration is received and processed, you will receive an email indicating that you completed the registration process. Registration confirmation emails will be sent to the email address entered on your online registration form. If you believe that you have completed the registration steps and do not receive an email within 24 hours, please contact email address

Online registration is now open. A SIOP Africa account is required to register for all events. If you have an existing account with SIOP Africa, visit the login page and follow the login instructions. If you don’t have a SIOP Africa account, select “Create a Free Account” to get started.
The conference has been organised as a physical event with current COVID-19 measures. Online sessions will be available for people who prefer to attend virtually. A fee has been attached to both forms of attendance and this can be retrieved from the registration tab on the website. Conference fees can be refunded before this date: XXXXX. After this, we will not be able to give you a refund.
All staff and organisers are fully vaccinated and current infection control protocols will be in place. An on-call medical service is available upon request (at the cost of the person involved) and you are encouraged to purchase travel insurance.
